I am so excited to be a part of this collaboration with a bunch of incredible teachers all with the intention of inspiring you, and encouraging and nurturing your art journal and creative practices.
I have participated as a student of Book of Days (BOD) since its inception, and being part of the wonderful BOD tribe has given me a sense of belonging, as well as invaluable encouragement and confidence to express myself fully through my art journal, with either deep internal examination or free thinking playtime through new found techniques, rituals and ideas. Effy's open and nurturing teaching methods invite you to dive into soul deep exploration, accepting all the emotions that surface, encouraging you to artfully document all aspects of your life. It is little wonder then that Book of Days has become an integral part of my mental and emotional wellbeing.
For my lesson next year I will be sharing my take on Book of Days and my style of art journaling. I'll give examples of my favourite rituals and habits, techniques and ways in which I document my days. When life challenges us and demands all of our time, my art journal practice is what brings me back to centre. My aim is to inspire you to explore different ways to express yourself on the page.
